Persistent knee problems?

So for starters, to avoid any useless comments, I’m going to see a doctor soon for X-rays, I was just wondering if anyone might have an answer so I can finally get my mind of the problem.

Here’s the story, about 2 months ago, I hurt my knee playing soccer, at the time I thought it was a very minor injury that would go away soon seeing as it didn’t really hurt. A week later, while swinging at a baseball, I really damaged my knee, went to a doctor and was diagnosed with patella tendinitis. Since then my knee is a lot better, I’ve done physio and I have full range and motion back in my knee. Problem is, I’m a competitive volleyball player, and I still can’t jump. What really concerns me is that there’s something moving in my knee, it’s a solid bump that I can move myself, sometimes I can find it, other times I can’t (I’m not talking about my knee cap, it’s on the upper part of my knee). I’ve examined most possibilities, it turns out that when you shatter your meniscus bad enough, some parts can wind up in your knee, I seriously doubt that that’s it because my knee doesn’t really hurt, it just feels funny. I thought it might be swelling, but I’ve taken prescription anti inflammatory medication.

To get to my question, can anyone explain to me why I still can’t jump and more importantly, what’s moving in my knee?

    Will my knee get better?

I twisted my knee trail running at the end of April, to me it felt like a tear or sprain along the outside of my knee. The doctor told me to take it easy, apply ice then heat for 15 minutes each 3-5 times a day and my knee ahould get better within a couple of weeks.
It is nearly 2 months since my injury and I am still limited to short light walks on flat surfaces. I cannot use my knee to climb or descend stairs. I have been unable to go back to work because it requires me to be able to walk, bend, twist, use stairs all day.
I went to a second doctor who advised me to start doing light leg exercises with no more than ankle weights. But I found this only worsened the condition and i even stopped walking for a week and a half.
I don’t understand why they can’t immobilize my knee for 1-2 months so that it has the chance to heal and then I could work on strenghtening myself (there is no physiotherapist in the area).
I am also worried that my knee will not heal for a long time.

Low long does a tendon injury last?

About 1.5 years ago I went to the doctor about pain I was having in the muscle in the back of my thigh for about 6 months, down towards the knee. It only hurt when I pushed on it, or when I did some phsyical activities (even then it didn’t always cause pain). She said it I injured the tendon (I think that’s what she said..) and I asked why does it take so long to go away and she said, well, cause I use it everyday.

Now it’s been 2 years and it’s still there. I don’t always notice it except if I get direct pressure in the area. It’s more or less stayed the same. Is this normal?

I fell a couple of times without my alpines getting off (the bindings were strong). It hurt a little back then. It doesn’t particularly hurt right now, only if I twist my leg (knee); and there’s this one tiny point which hurts when I press it. I can straighten and bend my knee, it doesn’t hurt. My knee might be swelling a leeetle bit. can’t really tell though.
In your opinion is this injury serious?

Why can't I bend my knee more than 90 degrees?

I was playing soccer a couple of nights ago and in a challenge felt my whole lower leg suddenly in agony. At first I thought I had a kick just below my knee (And though my leg was broken) and was taken to hospital where they x-ray me and determine that I have no broken bones. Doctor suggested that it was more than likely a calf muscle tear and put me on crutches. Now, however, I have no pain when I am not moving, but still have to use crutches as it is very sore when anything other than normal weight applied to the leg (Swisting etc). I am unable to bend my knee further than 90 degrees and the knee feels tender and unstable. Could my injury be worse than a muscle tear and perhaps related to the knee? or is this normal as the knee has alot going on around it in this situation?
    Can anyone help?

Pain in the back of my knee?

While I was on the elliptical tonight about half way through my work out, I noticed a sharp pain coming from the back of my left knee. It was so sharp and painful, I stopped right away. It hurts extremely bad going up or down stairs, or lifting that leg up. It will also be painful after walking around for a short period of time causing me to limp. What type of injury is this and should I go to a dr?
