I am now more than 100 lbs over weight and I need to know what type of exercise I can do with this type of back injury. I can walk but I get a lot of lower back pain during and after the walks. I also have arthritis in both my knees and diagnosed RLS. I still take morphine for extreme pain at times but not all the time. I have an indoor exercise bike, I do drive my car and I get around reasonably well. Due to snow and ice on the streets, I only exercise outdoors in the Spring\Summer\early Fall. Can someone dealing with the same problems I am dealing with help me get on the road to physical fitness. Thanks.

Tony Caine in his debut game for the Sharks. He suffered this sickening knee injury against the New Zealand Warriors in round 12, 2006. He later went on to play for the Dragons, before again returning to the Sharks.
compared to the average 20 year old I have broken a lot of bones and had a lot of injuries. Usually I can handle the pain fairly well without medication or an effect on my day to day life. Yestarday I went skiing all day (something I do quite frequently) At one point I took a really bad fall (not even on the slopes, it was on a patch of ice by the chalet) I hurt my knee pretty bad and spent all night in the ER. I was told I fractured my knee cap and had to use crutches for 3 weeks…blah blah blah. Right now I am in so much pain, I can’t even bear it. I took some naproxen and baclofen for the pain and inflammation but my whole body is in agony. Taking a breath hurts. I can’t roll over or get up or do anything because it hurts too much but just laying here is agonizing as well. typign this question – my wrist and fingers are in so much pain. I can’t remember ever crying from pain before. I am so scared, my body hurts so much I don’t knwo what to do. I want to go to sleep but i can’t because every position is so painful

I’m trying to decide if my lack of clarity caused my dog to get hurt yesterday. My roomate had a bbq and two of her friends brought their dog with them. The dog has been here before but not for a year or so. Now he’s 2 and still not fixed and he’s a good size.
I reminded them that my big dog (3 and fixed) was NOT permitted to jump and wrestle as he’s still waiting on knee surgery. I told them "he’s in constant pain and can get hurt easily, beyond the fact that I don’t want him in emergency surgery or to have to lose his leg things go down hill quickly if he’s playing and gets hurt. Obvisously he reacts as if the other dog did it, its not like you can explain to him why he’s in pain."
The two were getting bouncy and wanting to play so I brought my dog inside the house to prevent any injuries. I stuck a note on the door to the back yard asking for the dog to NOT be put outside and I went to change my son (14 months) and get him a snack.
Well, someone let him out and no one bothered to stop the two dogs from wrestling. Not even the owners of the other dog to whom I’d just explained the "no rough play" thing to.
Well my dog got hurt enough that today his knee is still swollen to about 3 times the size of the other…
What do you suppose happened when my dog got hurt? Should I have explained things more clearly? Is there anything else I could have done, in your opinion, to prevent my dog getting hurt again?
